HP just announced the Pavilion Aero 13 laptop today. So far, it’s the company’s lightest laptop ever, weighing less than 1kg (2.2 lbs) and is runs upto an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U mobile processor alongside AMD Radeon graphics. The laptop begins to ship in July and starts at $749, HP hints that it should be able to upgrade to Windows 11 when the operating system rolls out later this year.
Unlike other laptops that come in different versions, with a choice of either AMD or Intel chips, the Pavilion Aero 13 is an AMD-exclusive. This means that while it will be available in other iterations, you’ll only be able to order it with Ryzen processors.
According to HP, with an AMD Zen 3 under the hood, the Aero 13 range will “deliver impressive performance and battery life”. The company also promises up to 10.5 hours of battery life, though that really depends on individual real-world usage.
If you’ve been following HP’s laptop trends, you must have realized that the Pavilion Aer 13 is the company’s 13.3-inch laptop with a 16:10 aspect ratio, meaning it presents more content on the screen at once, better than 16:9 devices. Similarly, it’s the Pavilion laptop to rock a 90% screen-to-body ratio.
