The Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO line has long been a solid option for home-office users with its compact power. Now, the Lenovo V130 is another all-in-one (AIO) contender that’s designed for those working from home or simply wanting a reliable PC for family use. It doesn’t take up much room but still provides the performance and convenience to suit most users.
It costs well under $500 in the US, with various versions and storage capacities, but the Intel Celeron J4025 processor is standard across the range. That’s entirely reasonable for the specs on offer here, especially compared to other AIOs like Lenovo’s IdeaCentre 5i that costs almost twice as much, but you’re getting a bigger 23-inch FHD touchscreen, 8GB RAM and a snappy 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H processor.

Design and Features
Like any good all-in-one PC, the Lenovo V130 is a compact and convenient piece of equipment. It has all components built not the. Back of the screen, it means, unlike normal desktop PCs, you never have to connect wires between the PC itself and the monitor.
Not only is it easier to set up and use, but it means you can move it more efficiently, and it takes up little space on a desk. This may be particularly convenient for users looking for a new PC when working from home or at the office.
It sports a decent design that feels Lenovo was aiming for a professional look for an office, rather than a stylish aesthetic for a studio. The screen itself is a WXGA+ (1440 x 900) IPS display, which is fine, but can’t compete with the 1080p display on the Acer Aspire C27-1700-UA91 all-in-one PC.
That means the screen isn’t instantly impressive as some of its stablemates and competitors, and there isn’t as much workspace as on higher-resolution screens. Compacted into 19.5-inch viewable space, it also doesn’t look as, say, a 4K screen would look. So, if you’re a multitasker, or photo and editor this isn’t going to be an all-in-one of your dreams.
But for people looking for a day-to-day PC for their home office, the simple design and fairly big screen may appeal.
The V130 AIO offers a range of essential ports, including four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 3.1 ports, an HDMI output, an Ethernet jack, a headphone/microphone combo jack, an optical drive, and an SD card reader. These ports provide versatility for connecting peripherals, external storage, displays, and more.
The inclusion of multiple USB ports ensures compatibility with a wide range of devices without the need for additional adapters, but a USB-C port would have made more sense here. Also bundled into the package are a basic wired keyboard and mouse to get you working right out of the box.

Performance
The Lenovo V130 is not intended as a productivity powerhouse, and as such, it does not have the processing power of the latest and greatest computing hardware. However, it performs admirably when using most basic applications and is an excellent home office machine. Under the hood, our review unit packs an Intel Celeron J4025 processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD storage. It’s a capable machine for listening to music, watching videos, and/or attending video work meetings. It does all that easily without stuttering, blasting the fans, or slowing down.
Beyond that, this configuration is sufficient for handling routine tasks such as web browsing, word processing, email, and light multitasking. While not designed for resource-intensive applications or heavy gaming, the V130 AIO performs admirably for its intended audience. The integrated Intel UHD graphics provide basic multimedia capabilities and casual gaming performance.
The built-in speakers of the V130 AIO produce clear and adequate audio for everyday use. While lacking in bass and depth, the speakers are sufficient for video conferencing, watching videos, and listening to music at moderate volumes. For a more immersive audio experience, users might consider external speakers or headphones.
The integrated HD webcam of the V130 AIO captures decent-quality video for video conferencing and online communication. The microphone array effectively captures audio during video calls, eliminating the need for external peripherals. While not suitable for professional video production, the webcam and microphone perform adequately for everyday communication needs.
Lenovo V130 Review – Verdict
The Lenovo V130 All-in-One presents a compelling option for individuals seeking a space-saving and cost-effective computing solution. Its sleek design, robust connectivity, and satisfactory performance make it well-suited for everyday tasks, whether at home or in a small office. While lacking the performance powerhouses of higher-tier AIOs, the V130 AIO focuses on providing a practical and budget-conscious solution for basic computing needs.
If you’re in the market for a compact and versatile all-in-one system, the Lenovo V130 AIO is worthy of consideration. That said, a little more money will get you the Lenovo IdeaCentre 5i All-in-One that features a 23-inch touchscreen and offers better performance thanks to a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H processor, and a wireless keyboard and mouse.
