What we like
Big on Efficiency, small on space
This 7.5-cubic-foot fridge from Frigidaire is a perfect choice when it comes to compact, top-freezer refrigerators. It’s especially an ideal for anyone with a tiny apartment kitchen, or just need a small fridge for the garage or office space. This model is big on efficiency, but small on space.
Inside this top-freezer refrigerator, you’ll find three adjustable shelves and one produce crisper. Compared to some other compact fridges on the market with a single product crisper, this particular one is spacious enough, and this choice feel and function more like a full-size model.
The refrigerator compartment has 5.5-cubic feet of space, while the freezer has the remaining 2-cubic feet of space. Just keep in mind that the freezer isn’t equipped with an ice maker, so you’ll need to use standard ice cube trays to keep your drinks cool.
Crisper drawer keeps veggies fresh
While big fridges come with at least two crisper drawers, the Frigidaire EFR751 has a single crisper that’s very reliable on matter maintaining freshness. A high level of consistency helps with moisture retention. When a fridge fluctuates between temperatures, it causes vegetables, particularly leafy greens, to “sweat”. That results in either mushy spinach or chalky cucumbers.
With the EFR751, Frigidaire uses good compressors that help maintain steady temperatures, and the glass crisper cover avoids the loss of moisture, meaning your salad will last longer compared to fridges in this price range.
Cool design with high-end aesthetics
The Frigidaire EFR751 is for someone who likes good design but doesn’t care too much about brand names. Frigidaire does have the same cache as other manufacturers, and for a long time it has been associated with more entry-level models.
The front is a clean stainless, that’s smudge proof, and has classical handles. However, the stainless-steel front is magnetic so you can clutter it up with your kid’s artwork and schedules.
We also like the versatility of the glass shelves, Usually, we see these to be fixed on budget models, but we see they’re designed to be adjustable here, to fit different sized items.
What we don’t like
The freezer could be more consistent
As far as freezers go, the Frigidaire EFR751 is pretty on the average side. Since almost everything else on this fridge is stellar, the middle-of-the-road score had to be on the freezer side. The freezer’s temperature consistency leaves something to be desired, but it’s not surprising at this price point.
Also, the freezer lacks an ice cube tray, which you’ll need to buy separately. Also, aside from the average performance, we think the 2-cubic feet of storge space is a bit cramped. Fridges like the Avanti RA7316PST have the same freezer space, but bigger fridges have almost double that freezer space.
What users are saying
A few years on the market, there are thousands of glowing 4- and 5-star reviews across retailer sites. What’s out there is overwhelmingly positive. Users are talking about how much they like the fridge for their drinks and the attractiveness of the drawers. However, a few users just wish the freezer side had door storage, just like the door shelves on the fridge section.
Should I buy this fridge?

It has an uncanny ability to keep your food items well preserved, is able to keep a steady temperature hour after hour.
