The Acer Aspire TC-1760-UA93 is designed for the living room, the home office, and busy everyday lives, and it gets the job done by combining the latest 12th generation processors with a dedicated graphics card alongside solid design and low prices. Like all other Aspire TC models, the TC-1760-UA93 brings the latest components to a bargain price though smart through smart sacrifices that are unlikely to deter most people.
Several different Acer Aspire TC models are available, and the variety of components mean it’s worth paying attention to the hardware. The Acer Aspire TC-1760-UA92 that we reviewed a few months ago, for instance, packs an Intel Core i5-12400 processor, but uses an integrated graphics card, while the Aspire TC-1760-UA93 rocs a dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card; despite both models being released at around the same time and having the same design.
It’s not just about the component. It’s worth noting that the Acer Aspire TC sports a design that will fit most lifestyles, and the customer service and support are reliable, as compared most PC manufacturers out there.
That said, if you’re looking for a solid, straightforward, and capable desktop for the home-office that won’t cost you multiple paychecks, the Acer Aspire TC-1760-UA93 is a great choice.

Price and Configurations
The Acer Aspire TC is available in various configurations, but we’ve only seen two variations in the 2022 lineup all running the latest 12th generation processors. The base model is the Acer Aspire TC-1760-UA92, packing an 12th gen Intel Core i5-12400 6-core processor, 12GB RAM, 512GB SSD storage, intel UHD Graphics 730 and Windows 11 Home.
The other model is the Acer Aspire TC-1760-UA93, which we’re reviewing today, with a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700F 12-core processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card, 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD storage and runs Windows 11 Pro. This is a strong feature set, and for the price it competes with the likes of the Dell XPS 8950 and the HP Envy TE01-3254, both among our Top Pick business desktops.
Design and Features
The Aspire TC-1760-UA93 gets a better design and looks better than most of its competitors: the front combines dark, brushed metal with a sleek, eye-power button and stylish angular angles. As with all other Aspire TCs, build quality is beyond reproach – well, some of the metal and plastic used on the externals chassis is a bit flimsy, but it will certainly last several years to come.
The Acer’s mid-size tower dimensions help it fit into everyday life; you don’t have to worry about the little space available on your desk. Measuring just 13.399 inches tall and only 6.42 inches wide, it’s significantly smaller than most other towers in this price range.
The design’s practicality extends to the connectivity options available on the case. On the front, there is a full-size USB 3.2 port, a USB 3.2 Type-C connector, and two headphone/microphone jacks, which are decent enough for most of your peripherals. And, rather surprisingly, this PC offers a DVD drive, which is unusual since most manufacturers are dropping the optical drive from most of their machines.
Around the back, there’s one more USB 3.2 port, four USB 2.0 ports, two HDMI ports, three audio jacks, and an Ethernet port. Wireless connectivity comes in way of Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. There’s room to mount an external hard drive, and Acer has done all the cable work for you, making upgrading simpler.
The Acer Aspire TC-1760-UA92 includes a basic, wired keyboard and mouse. While they’re not high-end peripherals, and they may not satisfy keen typists, they’re nonetheless fine for everyday home and work use. You’ll have to buy the monitor separately – both the Acer SB220Q bi and HP 24mh are great, affordable monitors to consider.
Acer Aspire TC-1760-UA93 Review: Performance
Under the hood, this Acer Aspire TC-1760 packs a punch with the newer 12th generation Intel Core i7-12700F processor and lots of memory. The Intel Core i7-12700F is a mid-tier desktop CPU released in 2021 based on the Alder Lake architecture. It comes with 8 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores; with the performance cores (P-cores) supporting Hyperthreading, which leads to 20 thread which can be processed all at once.
In the Aspire TC-1760-UA92, Acer pairs that CPU with 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD for fast booting and an additional 1TB hard drive storage. The result is a capable desktop PC that will run almost all tasks you throw at it, may it be spreadsheets, basic media creation tasks, Microsoft Office projects and everything else. That said, it may not handle complex video and rendering tasks, but if you keep things simple the Aspire TC doesn’t disappoint.
For graphics, Acer includes an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super dedicated graphics card, which is a fantastic card for budget gamers. This GPU builds on the GeForce GTX 1660 and delivers more power, yet, it offers that boost in performance while still staying in the budget range, and that makes this card so attractive.

Finding that sweet spot of solid 1080p gaming at a reasonable price is not an easy task for gamers. Most of the GPUs available these days are too costly, but we’re glad that Acer includes that power in a machine created for the office, without making it too expensive. With its improved speed and video memory compared to the original GTX 1660, this card will let you play modern titles at 1080p resolution with ease. You can hit over 42 fps on games like Metro Exodus, but things can get better on less strenuous games like Middle Earth: Shadow of War where you can hit up to 81 fps at 1080.
While the Acer Aspire TC-1760 with its RTX 1660 Super graphics card will handle 1080p gaming fluently, anything into 1440p with be an overkill. It simply bridges the gap between budget machines with GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Super beautifully, but it should be your ultimate gaming hub. If you need something that can blow most AAA games even at 1440p resolutions, we’d recommend something like Alienware Aurora R10 or the CyberPowerPC Gamer GXiVR8400A9 but you’ll spend a little more for the enhanced gaming fidelity.
Should you buy the Acer Aspire TC-1760?
Yes, it’s a great capable desktop.
The Acer Aspire TC-1760 is a solid choice if you want a nice-looking and capable desktop computer for your business or home-office. While it doesn’t have the glaring LEDs of most gaming desktops, it does pack some gaming muscle and that makes things even better. It offers a fast Intel Core i7-12700 processor, a dedicated graphics card and the latest wireless standard, and has a healthy amount if RAM and tons of solid-state storage.
As always, this pricing does lead to a few limitations. The Aspire is not the most attractive desktop, its wired peripherals are basic, and future upgrades are limited by its compact enclosure and small power supply.
The same is true of Acer’s competitors, too. Any Dell Inspiron, HP Pavilion, or Lenovo IdeaCentre sold around/below $1000 will have similar issues. Acer stands apart from these alternatives with better hardware at a reasonable price.
Overall, if all you need is an unfussy and effective everyday computer for work and play the Aspire is a great choice. It will tackle emails, handle web-browsing duties, and run office software with plenty of speed and minimal fuss. It’s compact and good-looking, so it will fit nicely in offices and living rooms and the decent connectivity improves versatility – the Acer Aspire TC-1760-UA93 is an ideal system for a busy family or business.
