The Acer C24-1700-EA91 seems like one great machine that will save you both space and money. It may be bigger than your laptop, but this all-in-one PC is still space-saving and offers all the convenient ergonomic benefits of a bigger screen at a more comfortable height and arrives with a full-sized keyboard and mouse.
The Apple iMac is a great option in the AIO niche, but pricing is an obvious factor that most buyers can’t ignore. And naturally, not everybody is looking for the beefy graphics or crystal-clear displays of the iMac; sometimes you just need to get the job done without a fuss.
That’s the Acer C24-1700-EA91 for you – simple, affordable, and powerful as a daily-use machine. At a reasonable price, the Acer Aspire C24 has all the features you’ll need to get through all your productivity tasks in a compact, neat design that will fit anywhere you need it.
And with its 24-inch Full HD IPS display, the Acer C24-1700 is tremendous value for most buyers, especially those in the market for a practical pc for answering emails, shopping online, streaming content, and other tasks like keeping up with appointments and reminders.
Obviously, without extras like a dedicated graphics card, this machine will struggle with resource-hungry tasks like gaming and video editing. However, if you keep your demands in check, the Aspire C24 is a sold machine that will handle basic tasks like a champ.
About the Acer C24-1700-EA91
The Acer C24-1700-EA91 is an entry-level all-in-one PC with a built-in 24-inch, IPS display. It’s based on an Intel Core i3-1215U processor, with six cores running 10 threads at 3.3 GHz to 4.2GHz, and comes with 8GB and has integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics.
For storage, Acer uses the now common solution of a 256GB SSD and a 1TB HDD, giving you a balance of high performance for your productivity tasks and enough capacity to store files and other media. On paper, it looks like a smart, cost-conscious specification although not one without compromises.

Display and Features
The Acer C24-1700-EA91 doesn’t have the design flair of Apple’s colorful new iMacs, but it’s stylish and appealing in its own simple, modest way. It shares the same design with the 27-inch Acer Aspire C27-1700-UA91 and both look like monitors than all-in-one PCs, with all components held in a bulge behind the screen and a V-shaped stand that holds the screen about 7cm from the desktop. The stand doesn’t have height adjustment, just the usual 5-degree to 25-degree tilt.
The screen is surrounded by narrow vertical borders with a wider black strip on top to house the webcam and a 25mm black band at the bottom with the Acer logo. The power button is found underneath and all the PC’s connectivity ports are held in a panel at the real. This includes one HDMI input and one output, a single USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 socket with Thunderbolt 4, one USB-A 2.0 port, one gigabit Ethernet port, and one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 socket. We just wish it had more USB ports, but if you’re desperate for more you can add a USB hub. Wireless connectivity comes in way of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 support, so you can connect to the latest Wi-Fi kit, Bluetooth headphones, controllers, and more.
Display
The screen on the C24-1700-EA91 isn’t anything extraordinary, just a 23.8in panel with a Full HD (1920 X 1080) resolution. The screen has a maximum brightness of just 230cd/m2, although the low black levels of 0.17 help the screen reach a contrast ratio of 1,323:1. Colour accuracy is fine, covering 90.6% of the sRGB gamut and the average Delta E is 1.1 – but if you’re looking for rich colors in a display, then you might have to look elsewhere.
This 24-inch IPS panel is fine for browsing and office work, watching movies, TV shows, and games looks enough if you’re viewing at night, but we’ve seen a screen with a bit more punch but at a higher price.
And while the quality of the display is generally crisp and clear for some lightweight gaming and photo editing, streaming video content might appear slightly washed out. Colors are a bit muted and a slight vignetter/shadow effect is present around the edges of the display, just like in some laptops.
The included fully wireless keyboard and mouse are relatively small, but they get the job done straight out of the box.
Performance
The Acer C24-1700-EA91 is powered by a modest 12th Gen Intel Core i3-1215U processor, 8GB RAM, and Intel Iris Xe graphics, which is similar to what you’ll find on most laptops. While this won’t satisfy your search for one of the best gaming laptops or top picks for video editing or graphic design, the Acer C24 is well-suited for the general tasks you expect from your desktop PC. Plus, the 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD storage capacity should be more than adequate for storing all your files, and it’s faster than traditional hard drives.
This Acer all-in-one is designed for the modern office, student, or family. It’s stylish, quick to start, easy to navigate, and runs all modern computing tasks without a hitch. Whether you’re looking for a machine that can help with daily tasks like multitasking on email, web browsing, and word processing or you’re looking to stream video, and music, and do some light photo editing and gaming too, the Acer C24 won’t disappoint.

And if you spend long hours in front of the screen, the Acer Bluelight Shield offers several blue light reduction settings to reduce eye strain. Elsewhere, while this desktop offers a pair of stereo speakers, they’re on the back of the machine. The speakers create a muffled tin-can effect when the computer is placed on a desk facing the wall. If you have enough space to keep this machine away from the wall, this will greatly reduce the effect.
Finally, the C24-1700-EA91 comes with a 720p-pixel HD webcam that’s just clear-enough video quality and the audio is just okay. It’s grainy and washed out at its very best, if you’ll be chatting over Zoom or Hangouts, or other platforms, this won’t provide the best-looking chatting experience.
Bottom Line
The Acer C24-1700-EA91 is a fine all-in-one PC; I would have no problem recommending it. It’s capable, lightweight, and can handle all your basic computing needs. For the price, you’re getting a capable and versatile machine with modern hardware that’s hard to get at this price. And while I’d rather see it with a brighter screen and more robust audio, what is here is perfectly usable.
A brighter, more vibrant QHD screen is always great on an all-in-one, and it might have lifted this machine to greatness. As it is, it’s more of a solid effort, with some real strengths to make up for the areas where it’s weak.
