In use, the Roomba s9+ (9550) makes light work of collecting everything from fine dust and biscuit crumbs to cereal on hard floors, although its pick-up on carpets isn’t quite as thorough. Additionally, it’s self-emptying, which means less maintenance, and also has five angled arms on its brush to really navigate into corners and along walls.
However, as the robot vacuums do everything on their own and even deposit debris into replaceable dust bags, there’s an ongoing cost associated with this robovac. That’s in addition to its unwieldy price tag – did I mention this is the most expensive robot vacuum we’ve reviewed to date?

If you live in a small space and don’t deal with stubborn debris, this is the best vacuum cleaner for you. You may need to charge them quite often, and the canister may fill quickly.
Handheld Vacuum Cleaners
If you need to clean small spills or difficult-to-reach places, a handheld vacuum cleaner is handy. Sure, you couldn’t use it to vacuum a whole house – it’s usually small, portable, and light enough to hold in one hand, and you typically use it for short periods.
