SkyTech, always a competitor where price is concerned, is better known for its cost-effective gaming PC, and they’ve been producing some of the best high-end gaming PCs at very affordable prices. With the latest Skytech Gaming Prism, the company is offering a kickass gaming rig that shines in both gaming and productivity.
With a Ryzen 9 7950X3D processor and RTX 4090 graphics card, this Gaming Prism delivers top-tier performance, making it an easy contender for the best gaming PC in 2024. Its price undercuts the kinds of gaming rigs I’ve seen running Ryzen 9 7950X3D or the competing Core i9-14900K and RTX 4080 Super or RTX 4090 GPUs.
Starting at just under $4,000, this isn’t a cheap gaming PC, but for what you’re getting in terms of specs, you’d normally be getting the same for almost $1,500 more in a system such as the Corsair Vengeance i8200 or the Origin PC Neuron. Beyond performance, the system’s case is also higher quality than you’ll find on most prebuilt, including some of the best gaming PCs, with lots of room for adding extra components.

Design and Features
One thing that makes the Skytech Gaming Prism stand out is its appearance. Its half-glass chassis and brushed metal façade are elegant and durable. I appreciate two things about the Prism’s physical design: its glass side and front panel and the ease of access for internal components.
Of course, we’ve seen boutique-built gaming PCs with transparent side panels, but this one is quite different. The front panel is made of transparent glass, which extends to the left side panel, exposing the neat cooling fans and cable work. The side setup can be removed with four small screws, making it easy to swap components in and out a simple process, and there is a proper place for all the cables.
If there’s one thing the SkyTech Prism doesn’t lack, it’s ports. On the front of the machine, there is an easy-access USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, and one USB 3.1 port. Around the back, you’ll find seven USB 3.2 ports, one USB-C port, two Ethernet ports, an optical audio port, and five different 3.5 mm sound jacks (for various types of accessories and applications). The GPU has two DisplayPorts and one HDMI port.
Also bundled into the package are an RGB gaming keyboard and mouse, but the system doesn’t arrive with a monitor. However, you can pair it during purchase with something like the 24-inch BenQ ZOWIE XL2540K that offers a 240Hz refresh rate and an ergonomic stand.
Gaming Performance
When you’re on the hunt for a gaming PC, one thing matters above all else: graphics performance. The Skytech Gaming Prism delivers incredible graphics performance that can smoothly run just about any game on maxed-out graphic settings in 4K resolution.
My go-to game for high-end gaming PCs is Cyberpunk 2077, in which the Skytech Gaming Prism averages 72 to 85 fps at 4K with the Ray Tracing Ultra preset, and DLSS enabled, and almost double that (around 150 to 165 fps) in DLSS Super Resolution (auto preset). The action is buttery-smooth, even in intense combat with lots of explosions. This game does a fine job of showing off what the RTX 4090 can do and partly justifies the hefty price tag.
So, no matter which title you play on the market, with the RTX 4090, you’ll be able to get 4K@60 FPS and above, especially if you enable Nvidia’s DLSS 3 in games like Cyberpunk 2077, Hitman 3 and any game that features ray tracing.
The Nvidia RTX 4090, however, is about the only graphics card we’ve tested so far that can get close to60 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing maxed out without upscaling, so if you’ve always dreamt of playing 4K at native resolution, you can’t go wrong with the RTX 4090.
Given the hardware here, this is also a very competent creative performer, so those looking to get some work done – digital artists, professional content creators, name them all; will like what’s on offer here. That said, I couldn’t call this the best workstation PC around. This is a gaming PC through and through, and it’s here that this PC excels. Still, it lets you run intense tasks like 3D modeling and animation, but it doesn’t replace true workstations like the Falcon Northwest Talon (2024).
Bottom Line
Gaming performance is at the heart of the latest Skytech Gaming Prism. It can handle any task from general day-to-day use to intensive gaming sessions, even in 4K. It’s one of those few machines that are perfect for old, new, and future games, so you won’t need to replace or upgrade it any time soon. And with its toolless, spacious chassis, you won’t be fiddling and stressing when you’re ready to tweak it.
However, this Gaming Prism is expensive, and understandably so, but if you have enough in your budget to fork out for this configuration, then you’re not going to regret anything or feel like you overspend on a gaming rig.
Overall, we find this Skytech Gaming Prism a distinguished high-end gaming desktop. Even at its current price, it’s still a solid bargain, and you can often grab it on a sale during this shopping season.
